📝 Editor's Take
Our verified Drive Beaver reports this fall come from two Boso reservoirs, and almost all of them are close to the bank. At Lake Mishima, with the lake at full pool, murky and 21-22°C from late September, one angler got bites in cover and finally landed a 35 cm at 1 m in the evening on September 26; on October 9 it produced two fish up to 50 cm; and on October 17 a 54 cm topped a four-fish day fished at 1 m or less with a Zero One Jig and a Texas-rigged Drive Beaver. At Lake Kameyama on October 16 — a day when six fish over 50 cm were reported — it accounted for two separate 51 cm fish, one of them as the trailer on a small rubber jig. It also shows up in the mixed bags of a regular Mishima angler, alongside the King Jimmy Henge Medium, on days topping out at 43 cm (September 26) and 52 cm (October 7).
