Thirteen reports and a 21.7-inch best puts the Flick Shake second only to the DriveBeaver in our data, and it gets there a completely different way. Where the beaver is a bottom bait fished around spawning fish, this one shows up across seasons at an average of 70F. The bend molded into the worm is the whole point: on a Neko rig it shakes on a slack line without you doing anything, which is exactly what pressured Japanese fish will eat when a straight worm gets refused. US anglers already own wacky worms. The difference worth copying is the rig - nail-weighted Neko, light line, and long pauses where you move the rod tip and not the bait.
